ISO Violinist Conducts String Sectionals for SVYS Symphony Orchestra

Yaroslav Rudnytskyy, violinist with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, coached both the Violin I and Violin II sections of the SVYS Symphony Orchestra on March 8. He provided guidance with fingerings and stylistic interpretation of the Slavonic Dance No. 8 by Antonin Dvorak. The SVYS will perform this piece at its Spring concert on May 15.

Yaroslav took time out from his busy schedule with the ISO and the Illinois Chamber Orchestra. He appeared in a total of 12 concerts in Springfield, Bloomington, and Joliet in one week. These included educatinal concerts for grades K-3 and 4-6, the Sneakers and Jeans family concerts, and Beethoven's Letters, the Illinois Chamber Orchestra's final concerts of the season.
