Tour Schedule

8:30 am Meet at McClernand Elementary School, 801 N. 6th St.
9:00 am Concert at McClernand Elementary School, 801 N. 6th St.
10:30 am Concert at St. Aloysius Elementary School, Sangamon Ave. across from Sangamon Center (Hardees)
11:15 am Lunch at St. Aloysius
1:00 pm Concert at DuBois Elementary School, 120 S. Lincoln Ave., Near SHG off Washington St.
2:15 pm Concert at Montvale Estates
3:00 - 3:15 pm Parents pick up musicians at Montvale Estates after concert

Lunch will be provided (tour musicians should have already filled out lunch request sheets). Parents are welcome to join the tour to listen at any one of the venues.

This annual tour is an exciting event which gives many grade-school children in Springfield an opportunity to see our Concert Orchestra play and to meet our conductor and musicians. Many children in our area are not aware of our organization and this is one of our important public events. It is always a day of fun for everyone!

Musicians: Be sure you have completed this checklist:

  1. Permission from school to participate in the tour
  2. Contact teachers for missed assignments
  3. Bring instruments, music, and music stand
  4. Concert dress!
  5. Be prompt in arriving at McClernand School - 8:30 am, Wednesday, May 10th
