Two SVYS Musicians Win Prizes in Jacksonville Talent Competition

Two SVYS members competed in the Jacksonville Symphony Guild's "The Talent Among Us" finals on February 7, 2004. The competition was held in a public concert at the Rammelkamp Chapel on the campus of Illinois College, in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Rachel Wang placed first in the Junior Youth Category. She performed "Allegro Moderato" from Concerto #2 in G by Joseph Haydn. She was awarded a cash prize of $100.00.

Melissa Cloyd placed third in the Senior Youth Category. She performed "Allegro Moderato" from Konzert in C by Joseph Haydn. She was awarded a cash prize of $50.00.
