First Night Springfield (December 31, 2004)

• Event: Small ensemble performance for attendees of First Night Springfield
• Performers: Anna, Nini, Jill, Clayton, Xinlong, Alex, Cora
• Date: December 31, 2004
• Musicians call time: 6:30 PM (set up early because there is only 15 minutes between the preceeding 7:00 pm act and SVYS)
• Repertoire: Prepare selected pieces. Anna will coordinate.
• Playing time: 8:00 - 8:45 PM
• Location: First United Methodist Church, downtown Springfield
• Bring: Music, music stand, and instrument

• Dress - Men: White shirts, black dress slacks, black shoes, black socks
• Dress - Women: White blouse, black dress slacks or skirt, black shoes, black hose or socks
• Note: This is the 18th year for first Night, a community event sponsored by the Springfield Area Arts Council. This is a family event and great opportunity to showcase our musicians. The ensemble will play for approximately 45 minutes, although it is acceptable to cut it a bit short if necessary. Anna will be the moderator, as well as playing for this event.  Parents and family of players are encouraged to attend this as well as other First Night events. SVYS performers will each receive one free First Night admissions button, which is valid for attending all events. They will also be able to purchase an additional 4 buttons for friends or family at the discounted price of $5.00 each. Please contact Sue Massie at least a week ahead of time to arrange for discounted buttons.
